Ben's first visit with Santa

Grandma Berry, Grandma Shirley, and I took Benjamin to Lafayette to see Santa today! Ben did very well and I will post the picture up very soon!

October

October has flown by. It is hard to believe that Benjamin is already five months old. Time really does fly, especially when you have a little bundle of joy in your life.

Most of October Benjamin and I spent down in South Carolina so that we could see Justin on the weekends. He is doing wonderful at OCS. Benjamin and I will be flying down in November to see him for Thanksgiving. We will spend a few days with him down there. He then will be flying home for Christmas.

Benjamin and I went to the Zoo Halloween at the Fort Wayne Zoo on Monday. It was fun. The zoo had pumpkins all over the place. He went as a tiger. It was so cute. He eventually fell asleep as we got through the walk.

Benjamin is talking more and more. He is singing and trying to blow raspberries. He likes to talk back to you when you talk to him. He also smiles at almost everyone he meets.

Most nights he is sleeping through now. Which is a wonderful blessing.

We really did enjoy our time down in South Carolina and Georgia.

MY BIG BOY

Benjamin is getting so big. The other day he just burst out laughing. He was laughing so hard on Monday that he was shaking up and down. Benjamin also went to the doctor recently. He is now 14 lbs and 24 1/4 inches long. I can't believe how big he has gotten in four months. It is amazing to see the changes that he is going through on a daily basis. I never knew how much you could love a child, until I had one of my own.

Justin is finishing up at Victory Forge. Hopefully I will hear from him tomorrow when they get in. I am not sure if I will though. It is the last task he had to finish before graduation from basic. I can't believe I have a week left now until I get to see him. Its been so long. Benjamin and I miss him so very much.

We are very proud of Justin and what he is doing for our family. I can't believe he loves us enough to put himself through the tough task of basic training. I am so glad he does. Justin will be in awe when he gets to see Benjamin on the first of October. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees our handsome little boy.

4 Month Well baby

Today Benjamin had his four month well baby visit. He is 14 pounds and 24 1/4 inches long. He did very well at his appointment. The doctor says he is right where he should be. I also got to feed him a little bit of cereal for the first time today! He liked it a lot. Aunt Cheryl also bought Benjamin books and wrist rattles while we were out.

I can't believe how fast Benjamin is growing. It amazes me every-time I look at him he seems bigger. I really can't wait for Justin to see him.

Benjamin and Mom

Benjamin and I went to the colts game this last Sunday. He did really well for the most part. The loud noises seemed to startle him a little bit. He really does enjoy looking around at everything. We are just a few short weeks away from seeing Justin.

Justin has not seen Benjamin since July 8th. I can't wait for him to get to hold Benjamin. I think it will be one of the best moments to be able to experience. Justin is so close to being done with Basic Training. He then moves on to OCS at Fort Benning. I am so very proud of him.

Today we spent most of the day at Grandma Berry's. I should Great Grandma Shirley how Benjamin giggles and laughs. He would just smile and giggle while I tickled his belly. He is getting so big. It is crazy how fast they grow. Benjamin used to be so incredibly small. Now he is almost 12lbs.

We love spending time together and snuggling each-other. Benjamin loves to watch movies with mommy. He fell asleep the other night with uncle Jake while watching Horton Hears a Who. Ben slept from 7pm to 6am. I asked uncle Jake what kind of sleeping potion he gave Ben. Ben has never slept that long. Granted most nights he sleeps through now which I am so incredibly thankful for. When he doesn't nap he gets very crabby, Overall Ben is a very very good baby. Justin and I are so blessed by how good he is. We thank God everyday that we have Benjamin.

OUR FAMILY

Justin is currently finishing his basic training at Fort Jackson in South Carolina. We have been apart since July 8. It has been very hard on us. However it has been a bit easier on me because I have Benjamin with me. We have been keeping busy to pass the time. We went to South Carolina in July and August. We also went to Uncle Buck's wetting party in Staten Island, New York. He got to see his cousins. We had a wonderful time visiting with Josh and Tina.

Benjamin is almost 4 months old now. He is giggling and smiling everyday. He loves to sleep on his tummy. I think he looks like a good mix between Buck and Berry. Most people say they see Grandpa Buck in him. I think this is mostly because of the chubby cheeks. I guess only time will tell.

Justin and i will be celebrating our 2nd wedding anniversary on October 6. It has been a wonderful two years so far. We continue to love and support each-other. We push one another to grow and become a better well-rounded individual. We are so happy together and we love our son Benjamin. He is our world. We would do anything for him.

Life

We were in Monticello today visiting Grandma Berry and Great Grandma Larson. We went to his Aunt Allison's soccer game. The varsity won and the jv team lost. Ben giggled with me today. He is smiling more and more each day. i can't believe how big he is getting. It amazes me that he is almost four months now. I can not believe how much time has flown by. Ben is getting very good at holding his head up on his own. He has rolled over once or twice but he doesn't do it often yet. He still has not gone from back to tummy. Just tummy to back. it should be any day now that he does it though. :0

i miss Justin very much. He is doing alright though at BCT. I can't wait to see all the great changes in him. I know he knows that I love him deeply. I can't wait to see my sexy man in uniform :).
